Act For Voice is a charity dedicated to helping those children and young people most in need to build confident communication skills for life.
Our programme brings the training and techniques used by actors to the classroom. The skills young people learn through the Act for Voice programme help them thrive in school, build healthy relationships and prepare them for their future working lives.
The Act For Voice programme incorporates feedback from teachers and pupils, following pilots in primary and secondary schools and alternative settings.
Pupils learn the training and techniques used by professional actors in an easy-to-deliver, practical programme. A visit from a professionally trained actor to the school adds excitement and sparkle to the programme. Post delivery, an easily adoptable legacy element, deveoped by teachers, ensures that the skills learnt are embedded and reinforced across the curriculum.
As well as developing excellent communicaiton skills for life, the programme also delivers mandated careers advice, matching the requirements of the Gatsby scale.
